The Transport Division plays a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient road use across the nation. Its responsibilities include the issuance of driving permits, registration and inspection of motor vehicles, enforcement of road traffic laws, and the collection of related revenues.

Our Roles

In accordance with the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act Chapter 48:50, the Transport Commissioner represents the Transport Division. The specific functions and duties of the Division include the following:

Online Driver’s Permit Renewal System (ODPRS)

Citizens can renew their Driver’s Permits/Licence entirely online, eliminating the need for time-consuming in-person visits to Licensing Offices.

Certified Copy Application

The Online Certified Copy Application System is a secure, user-friendly digital platform that allows customers the option to apply and pay for Certified Copies electronically, without the need to visit a Licensing Office.
